Custom Pages

A custom page is useful if you want to have a page that looks completely different than rest of the listings. You can also use it as a terms and conditions page.

Add a New Page

  1. To get started adding a new page to your GoClixy site, find the Pages menu in the GoClixy Content navigation. Go to Manage Pages link.
  2. The GoClixy page editor looks nearly identical to other text editor, except for a few different text boxes located on the screen.
  3. Choose a parent item if the page is not a parent. You will need a parent page under which you can list your subpage.
  4. Add the title of the page, like About.
  5. Add URL slug, like about-us. Note: If the slug URL field is set to empty, then it will be automatically generated from the title of your page.
  6. Next, add some content in the Body section.
  7. If you wish, you can also type Meta Title, Meta Description and Meta Keywords.
  8. Set page location.

    • Footer: The Page link will be displayed only in the footer.
    • Header: The Page link will be displayed only in the header.
    • Both: The Page link will be displayed in the header and the footer.
  9. Click the Save button

Edit an Existing Page

To edit a page, simply click its title as shown above. Change the information and then click the Save button.

Delete a Page

The Delete feature allows you to remove multiple pages (permanently deleting them right away). Once an item is deleted, it cannot be restored. You can also delete a page from the Edit section.

Order Pages

Pages are usually displayed in the order they were added to the application, but you can choose your own order.

  • To change order, go to Content->Pages and click the Order Pages tab.
  • Drag and drop the pages to change their orders and then click the Save button.

How to Add a Widget on a Page
You can also add one or more widgets to a page. For instance, if you want to display packages on the Pricing page, steps will be as follows:
- Go to Developer->Themes, search for Pricing Widget and click the Shortcode. Copy the Shortcode (e.g. {widget}id:106|type_id:0|cols:3{/widget}) under the Pages Widget.
- Edit the page and paste the Shortcode in the Body field. You can also change parameters (except ID). If you want to display Advertising Packages instead of Subscription packages, change the type_id to 1.
- Click the Save button.
